It's Bath Time!
Remember how much fun it was to take a bath when you were a kid?    Bubbles, splashing, bath toys – it was a great time!

Return to the fun of a bath.  But now make it “fun” by using it as a way to relax.  Sleep better, detox your body, even replenish needed minerals, PLUS calm your mind.  Keep it simple or do it up and incorporate Ocean Bliss .  You only need twenty minutes to get great benefits.

Basic Bath: All you need is a tub and water.  A hot bath will help you feel sleepy.  A warm bath will relax you, but will keep you energized.  The main attractive element here is immersing yourself in warm water.  It might sound silly, but the comparison to being in the womb is true.  You were contentedly surrounded by water for nine months – return to that blissful state!

Take it up a notch: Here is where you start adding special things to the bath.  To enhance the water, try adding Epsom salts straight from the bag/box or make a custom mix of bath salts (see below).  The salts are absorbed through your skin and help replenish magnesium in your system. (Read more about Epsom salts here: http://www.epsomsaltcouncil.org/beauty_why_it_works.htm.)  Bubble baths are nice, too, but be aware that some bubble formulas can irritate your skin.

Luxury bath:  Incorporate as many senses as you can!  Light candles, play Ocean Bliss on your MP3 player, add essential oils for fragrance, use a soft bath pillow, and have a favorite beverage on the side.

Basic Bath Salts
1 cup Epsom salts
1 cup Kosher salt or coarse Sea salt
1 cup baking soda
7-8 drops of essential oil (try lavender or rose to relax, peppermint to invigorate)

Combine salts and baking soda in a medium bowl and mix well. Add essential oil(s) while stirring and continue to stir until evenly dispersed.  Makes enough for at least two bathing sessions.
